Why pay your web developer to do what you can do yourself? :: |
What does your web developer do best?He turns your dreams, ideas and words into a successful web site. He handles the technical side of your business. He creates a design that works best for your business and your customers. That's why you pay him the big bucks...to do those things on the web that you don't want to and don't need to learn to do yourself. What do you do best? You know your business. You know how to sell your products and services. You know what to say to your customers. And those words change over time. That's why you need to be able to change your sales approach...the words you use...as quickly as you can. So why pay him to change your words?Your web developer will usually find a nice way to tell you that he doesn't want you to edit your site yourself. That's because he knows that it's easy for someone who doesn't know what they're doing to break a site unintentionally. He's responsible to keep it up and running so he wants to keep you out of the files. Whenever you want to add an idea, a page or a product to your site, you need him to do it. Whenever you want to change a word, a price or a picture on your site, you need him to do it. When you finally get in touch with him, he'll eventually make your change and then probably charge you a one-hour minimum for that 15 minute change because it's not worth his time to do it differently. Hopefully he'll get it right the first time too. You probably need a professional to make digital pictures of your products and optimize them for the web. You probably also need a professional to get your site up-and-running in the first place and then occasionally to make upgrades and do major changes to it. But why do you want to pay a professional top dollar just to change words or to add a product or an idea? You don't And that's why you're going to like what I can do for you. You can read my resume and study my case histories to become familiar with my qualifications and experience. I've found a product that I use for all of my clients that lets me do the initial design and setup and then puts them in the driver's seat of their own web site.I do what I do best and they do what they do best.Let me tell you a secret. It's no fun for a web designer to make small changes to pages on a web site. True, it pays a lot of money, but I don't like doing it. I'd rather be creating a new design than updating existing pages for clients. I also don't like doing the same page over-and-over again just to add a new product to a site. I've always coded my client's web sites by hand. That's the only way to get absolute control over how the site is built. It's the absolute best way to do it, but it cost my client's more money because it takes a lot of time to do it right. But once I get the basic design down, then adding new pages for new products or new sections is just a matter of copying an existing page, using the HTML code I generated and simply changing the words and product codes. That's not fun. That's why I found a software tool, called Article Manager, that lets me hand-build templates to my exacting specifications that can be re-used for each page and each section of a web site. I have the control I want, but let the software automate the drudge work. That saves time so it saves my clients money. Now I don't ever build sites any other way. It saved me time because I could write the HTML code for a design once and apply it to every page on the site. If I made a change to the design, I could do it once and republish the entire site with one click of a button. No mistakes! I use to spend hours making the same change to hundreds of pages so that they all looked the same. I'm now saving myself time, which saves my clients money. But this product lets me give my clients even more savings on their site because with it I can let the client update their site themselves. All without any worries about them possibly breaking the site. The beauty of the Article Manager is that it separates the content of the web site...the words that you want on your web site...from the presentation of the web site...the way those words are displayed. With the Article Manager, I can help you design and implement the perfect web site for your business and then I can turn it over to you and you can publish as much or as little as you like, without paying me another dime. There is an easy-to-use web interface where you type in all of your own changes to the pages on your site. It's like filling out a form. Simple and easy to do. You will only need me occassionally to install the latest Article Manager upgrade, to add a new section to your site or to make a major change to the look-and-feel of your site. You own your own domain, you own the Article Manager software and of course all of the content that you put into your site itself. You're monthly fees will include the virtual hosting of your site itself and perhaps a shopping cart system. I think I can make Article Manager work with practically any kind of shopping cart, payment system or content-for-payment delivery software.I have made the Article Manager work with 1ShoppingCart.com, Oracle Small Business, PayPal and other custom shopping cart systems. I've also integrated site tracking software and a number of other email subscription programs. So far there hasn't been anything that I couldn't make work with Article Manager. I can take the "best of breed" programs and bring them together and make them work together in the Article Manager environment. I find a way to do it, not reasons why I can't. Buy an Article Manager Package From MeI can sell Article Manager to you for less than the software developers who wrote it, because I buy it from them in bulk to resell to my clients along with complete professional installation services. They just sell you the software, they don't offer to install it for you. You either have to bother learning to do it yourself or else hire a web developer like me. If you don't already have a web site, or if you aren't happy where you are, I'd like to talk with you about a complete package that I can offer:
Selling you the Article Manager is easy. Helping you develop your site that sells your products is more difficult. It's going to take trust and committment on both our parts. Web sites don't magically appear overnight. They take quite a bit of hard work and thoughtful consideration and planning. So I've put together a series of emails that I'd like to send you that I call my "Web Site Development Plan" series. These emails contain coaching and questions that I want you to think about and send back to me with your answers. This will help me to help you develop a web site strategy for your business. 100% Risk-Free Guarantee:Your success in using Article Manager is completely guaranteed. In fact, here's my 100% Better-Than-Risk-Free-Take-it-To-The-Bank Guarantee:
Is that fair or what? That means you can try out Article Manager at my risk, while you see if it works for you or not. And if it doesn't save you any web maintenance costs, I honestly want you to ask for your money back. There is absolutely no risk, whatsoever on your part. The burden to deliver is entirely on me. If you aren't satisfied using Article Manager then I'm the loser, not you. Look at it this way -- $249.99 is really a painless drop in the bucket compared to the money you're going to pay your web developer to make small changes to your site over time. That's why... You Really Can't Afford Not To Invest In Article Manager! It's easy to get started right away. Fill out this form and you'll start receiving my "Developing a Web Plan" email series. There's no obligation to buy. Get ready to save money on your web site! Sincerely, Ken Gary P.S. Just think! You'll never again pay your web developer to do something you can do yourself! | ||
